Christian Writers Dowunder is aimed at Christians writers (and those associated with writing field, e.g. editors, illustrators, reviewers and publishers) who live in Australasia. We have a dedicated team of regular and guest bloggers.

In 2015, Christian Writers Dowunder in conjunction with By the Light Books published Glimpses of Light anthology.

Jeanette O’Hagan enjoys writing fiction, poetry, blogging and editing. She is writing her Akrad’s Legacy Series—a Young Adult secondary world fantasy fiction with adventure, courtly intrigue and romantic elements. Her short stories and poems are published in a number of anthologies including Glimpses of Light, Another Time Another Place and Like a Girl. Jeanette has practised medicine, studied communication, history, theology and, more recently, a Master’s in writing. She loves reading, painting, travel, catching up for coffee with friends, pondering the meaning of life and communicating God’s great love. She lives in Brisbane with her husband and children.

Susan Barnes

Susan Barnes started writing devotional articles in 1988. These devotional thoughts have been published in a variety of settings such as church newsletters. Over the last two years she has had 50 of her devotionals appear in FaithWriters Great Multitude Christian Daily Devotional which is on over 22,000 websites/blogs plus 15,000 are sent out by email and Twitter each day. Susan's writing reflects her belief that faith must be relevant to everyday life. She is currently working on a book which has grown out of the ideas in her devotionals.

Jo-Anne Berthelsen lives in Sydney but grew up in Brisbane. She holds degrees in Arts and Theology and has worked as a high school teacher, editor and secretary, as well as in local church ministry. Jo-Anne loves communicating through both the written and spoken word. She is the author of six published novels and one non-fiction work, Soul Friend. As a historical romance author, Rita Galieh also co-presents a Christian FM radio program broadcast Australia-wide. And along with her first book, Fire in the Rock, with its setting in the opal fields, she has published a Victoriana Trilogy -Signed Sealed Delivered; The Tie That Binds; A Parcel of Promises. This inspired her, along with her husband, to perform at various functions a fun presentation of Victorian Etiquette given as a governess in costume. Simon Kennedy has had a TV show concept optioned by Matchbox Pictures. He has written several feature film scripts and his YouTube channel, Songs with Simon, has over fifteen million hits. Margaret Lepke lives in a rural village near Sydney. Her writing is defined by her love for Jesus, biblical studies, and her work as a counsellor, mediator, naturopath and educator. She loves meeting new people and enjoys anything to do with computers, design and books. Her writing projects include professional and biblical topics, workshop design and teaching materials, and as a speaker she encourages Christian women with vivid PowerPoint presentations. Cecily Paterson grew up overseas as a third culture kid and now lives with her family in a teeny tiny tourist town in New South Wales. South Australian Author, Meredith Resce, has been writing since 1991, and has had

Paula Vince
