I'm trying to be more genuine and forthright, regardless of audience. Yes, Stories of Life is a great platform. Just tell a story and tell it well. Put that way, a lot of angst is removed :)May-Kuan Limhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08217762057202017472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208627029605402728.post-80685332594183031692018-03-17T13:44:28.216+10:002018-03-17T13:44:28.216+10:00I love your story of Amazing Gracie in the antholo...I love your story of Amazing Gracie in the anthology. Your comments remind me of how the apostle Peter, who denied Jesus thrice, was emboldened to preach before a huge crowd after Pentecost. Back then, and, from your comments, today, still, the Holy Spirit enables, empowers and emboldens ordinary people to speak of Christ.May-Kuan Limhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08217762057202017472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208627029605402728.post-66253230669656100032018-03-17T13:34:42.421+10:002018-03-17T13:34:42.421+10:00Thanks, Anusha :) Thanks, Anusha :) May-Kuan Limhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08217762057202017472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208627029605402728.post-67857639498351169122018-03-16T18:41:18.705+10:002018-03-16T18:41:18.705+10:00What an encouraging testimony, May-Kuan. I still find it difficult to speak openly about these topics. Fortunately, I learned to release my thoughts and feelings through my prayers and my writing. It's the same in secular fiction. It's a great thing that Stories of Life is giving you and others an avenue to share your real-life stories of faith, of God showing up and making a difference. It was so different when I first became a Christian - nearly everyone was talking about 'what God was doing', as the charismatic movement was in full swing. I suppose I'm still finding my way a bit in this different post modern society but have had stories in both SOL anthologies. I'm not sure if I'll continue to enter but probably will. Thanks for sharing your faith.Jeanette Grant-Thomsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07691677119939194892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208627029605402728.post-683940513929804992018-03-15T07:56:56.786+10:002018-03-15T07:56:56.786+10:00Great post May-Kuan. Isn't it interesting how our faith grows when we are faced with tough times and life's challenges. I love it how He woos us closer to Him during those seasons. I found your post was beautifully written - weaving your impressions of the need to be private about your faith in Australia and the subsequent revelations of why it was important to share our faith based stories in order for people to hear and respond to Jesus. Thanks May-Kuan.Anusha Atukoralahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00859837228901127984noreply@blogger.com
