This is an excellent reflection for this time of year. Got the second on my kindle. Such examples are inspirational and also point us to Christ - the unblemished lamb of God who still understands our weaknesses and lays down his life for us. Such a wonderful and powerful message. Recently as my husband and I have been watching an old series 'The Fugitive', I've been reflecting that the fugitive reflects the person of Jesus. He was accused of a crime he didn't commit. While fleeing for his life - he continued to help countless people on his journey - a really good parallel on the character of Jesus, I felt. I like how you write "perhaps we should write explicitly or implicitly in the light of the Gospel even when we don't shout it out in bold letters." A very blessed Easter to you Jenny and may your writing continue to bless our world! I'm glad we have so many to choose from, and agree with the examples you've given. By the time you get to the end of the series, there's Harry Potter himself too, who sees no other choice but to lay down his life for the sake of all, when he discovers that he was unintentionally made one of Voldemort's horcruxes. And for the Christian book industry, anyone who finishes Patrick W Carr's Cast of Stones series will find the hero Errol taking on the redemptive, Christlike role.<br />Thanks again, for the rich food for thought the day before Good Friday.Paula Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02079952414990463270noreply@blogger.com
