This year I'm focussing on:
Confirming my destination – where exactly are we (God and me) going?
Reassess priorities – what exactly is important?
Discern quality – how exactly is value being added?
Confront Reality – what actually is possible?
Embrace wisdom – how much actually is necessary?

Thanks for your honesty and wisdom.Donitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18277308662756229260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208627029605402728.post-24007077346764611582021-02-22T10:56:05.348+10:002021-02-22T10:56:05.348+10:00Hi Mazzy, uplifted to know my words have helped yo...Hi Mazzy, uplifted to know my words have helped you in the midst of the challenges your face. Love the idea of unction in one's gumpttion :) And also your realisation that 'esus is my Redeemer, and that I achieve through His strength, healing, and enabling power' plus the practical side of an ergnonomic office chair. So often what we plan or aim for doesn't come to fruition, but even the middle of that Jesus redeems our time - something that gives us peace but also allows us to keep on stepping into the future. God bless. Thanks for helping me put things into perspective with your perceptive analysis, Jenny.

I had high hopes in terms of my anticipated progress, but hope alone is not enough! I think I need a bit of that 'power on' stuff to make progress. Ha! Just remembered an old chorus that says, "Give me unction in my gumption so I'll function, function, function, Give me unction in my gumption, I pray, Give me unction in my gumption so I'll function, function, function, So I'll function till the break of day."

With all that you've had to cope with, Jenny, I commend you on your pragmatic wisdom, learning to prioritise and let some things go 'for the time being'. Within our earthly existence, we live with the constant awareness of time passing, feeling that it has slipped through our fingers. I've often felt rebuked by Ephesians 5:16 which urges us to 'Redeem the hours'. But today, your words have been a comfort to me as I realise that Jesus is my Redeemer, and that I achieve through His strength, healing, and enabling power.

As far as pragmatics go, I probably need to purchase a new ergonomic office chair so I can sit at the computer without triggering disruptive levels of pain.
