My first novel, written for my Masters, had a few complex bits but I found as long as a story had a spine, you could hang all kinds of limbs off it. I’m very much looking forward to reading your novel because I know, complex or not, it’s a labour of love. And good on you for indie publishing it. I’ve decided to head in that direction too - and am also finding the process it a lot more complex than I thought. Thanks for the encouragement. I can attest to the power of your 'Scattered' (Nola Lorraine) as being much more than a fabulous example of romantic suspense; it has the power to awaken awareness. I've no doubt the sequel will be worth the angst and effort you're investing to bring it to the world. I also should have followed the 'Keep It Simple' mantra, but I had to tackle a story in 1882 in a country other than my own. Having spent so much time researching that one, you'd think I'd stick to the same time and setting for my second one. But 'No'. I've started one in a different location in 1896, involving political and racial issues. What was I thinking? But like you, it was the story that wouldn't let go. It does take perseverance for sure, but it's more worthwhile in the end. Looking forward to reading your final version and seeing how all those threads came together.Nola Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484579374187759802noreply@blogger.com
